Summer is always a great time to fish in Florida especially South FL as we have so much variety available to us to mix in on any given day! But I would have to say the Baby Tarpon fishing is spectacular as they're in good number up and down Biscayne Bay and Flamingo(Everglades). The best time to target these acrobats is at first light and they tend to school up around the mangrove shorelines to feed on whatever small prey is available to them. We target these fish with Fly and Spin gear with artificial and live bait. What makes it a cool experience is they tend to be in shallow water allowing us to sight fish them and I can tell you how many times we've caught bonefish swimming along with the tarpon!
