LOUISIANA MARSH FISHING REPORT

Hey Guys its been a while since Ive posted a fishing report luckily I was busy with work. I arrived in Louisiana last week in preparation for my Redfish season and was met with some great conditions to kick it off! It has been summer Hot here in Southern Louisiana with water temps in the high Eighty's and the water levels in the marsh have been high as well when I went scouting and a few days in we were blessed with our first decent cold front just in time for my Clients arrival the North winds pushed some of the water out of the marsh and dropped the water temps at one point to fifteen degrees cooler and the weather was epic light winds and bluebird sky. We started off fishing on the edge of the Gulf and we finding some nice Bulls and even caught a pair in the first spot. The wind laid down from minimal to nothing and so we headed out to look for schools near the big passes on the barrier Islands and before we got half way there we were met with a giant blitzing school of Bull Redfish "RED TIDE" As temps continue to drop the fishing will improve in the marsh. I have days available this season if your looking for Louisiana Fly fishing Guide Give Capt Jerry Perez a call 786 517 7261
