WINTER IN FLAMINGO

Fishing this week was good as we had some brisk temps to start the day and with the forecast promising "lighter" winds as the day went on we had to adapt to the conditions given to me and fellow Guide Jason Sullivan. We joked about the situation and realized what do two Fly fishing Guides do when they fish together? Spin Fish! We fished Flamingo with a low tide that was rising and we had a good first stop catching a few Snook and a couple Redfish. We ran around checking a few spots looking at the tide, clarity and bottom make up. We decided to check one last spot as we were plagued with high dirty water at the end of the tide. It ended up being the right call to go back to where we had seen some exposed flats. The Reds were cruising the crowns high in the water column soaking up the sun that finally came out. Spring id around the corner and I am Booking up quickly for Tarpon Season you need to get in on it there's no fish that compares to the Silver King!
