Fishing in Everglades National Park (Flamingo) has been Phenomenal as of late. Lots of Aggressive Redfish and Hungry Snook cruising the shallow flats of Florida bay. Sight
fishing has been great due to the clean water and minimal fishing pressure due to the Park closure back in March. The fish have mostly been pretty close to the mullet muds as soon as we find the Mullet jumping and the wading birds the fish make their presence known by eating our lures and flies when we are in the feeding zone. As we approach summer time patterns we will continue to see big schools of redfish tailing making great opportunities to catch multiple fish in short time fly fishing and/or with spin gear. Typically we are throwing 7/8 weight fly rods and flies that are dark and flashy as the water can be silty because of the mullet muds and are usually blind casting Jigs or soft plastics working the potholes. The park is open and the state is starting to open if you can get down to fish there is no better place to social distance after being coped up at home. Lets fish Id love to take you out on the water I have days available for June- Sept if your looking for an Everglades Fishing Guide go to https://www.jerryperezfishing.com/ to Book your trip!
